Hello, I have a 1991 Grand wagoneer that is in need of a new frame. The frame in it is rusted beyond all hope. The worst section is in the rear where it is cracked and paper thin in several areas. You can lift large flakes of rusted frame metal just about anywhere, you get the picture. Are there any aftermarket companies that make frames for these vehicles, are there any companies that might have bought up the last origonal factory frames? Any suggestions? Thanks

Welcome to IFSJA bcgrown,
There are no aftermarket companys that have these frames or originals. You can find another GWagoneer... classifieds, boneyard, etc. that has a good frame '84-'91 yrs. although, '83-below frames might work for you as well. Lift the body & lower it to the "new" donor frame. I assume rust is a big issue in your neck of the woods... if you do find a good frame... make sure rustproof before you install the body. But you already knew that. Good Luck! smile.gif

YIKES! I believe I'd weld the doors shut on that one and burry it in the back yard and make a septic tank out of it....LOL.

Welcome to the forum bcgrown!
I suggest you talk to one of us southwest members about a frame. Theyre alot easier to come by down here. Arizona and New Mexico are the best states I can think of to get a frame from, but here in Oklahoma, Ive only got surface rust on my 86, and it can be wiped away with your hand. :D
And no, my 86 was far from taken care of.
