When I bought the dieselwag I knew the nylon tape for the driver's side window was busted, so I bought a new one from BJ's, along with a bunch of other parts I needed. Late into the build, I found that the one on the passenger side was broken also. I needed one in a hurry, so idiot me bought a replacement from the local parts store. I could immediately tell that the quality was not the same - the parts store unit was much lower quality. I figured, what the heck and put it in anyway. I figured that if I could get a couple years out of it I would be happy. Yeah.

Here I am 8 months later with another broken window tape on the passenger side. Hey, I have nothing better to do than to replace those tapes twice a year. Uh huh.

But, I am smarter now, and sitting next to me is a box from BJ's that includes a new tape (along with some other small parts).

So, if you are needing to replace the nylon tape on your power windows - DO NOT USE THE CHEAP POS CRAP FROM YOUR LOCAL PARTS STORE!!!

heck Mark I sometimes feel like EVERYTHING I've ever learned I learned the hard way, but hey sometimes cheap parts is all you can afford!!! I learned how good the quality of Accel performance parts from Autozone is :mad: so I feel your pain brother man I feel your pain :thumbsup:
