Drop pit man arm. Where to get it?

Okay, Im about to haul the cherokee down to the shop for the soa(using river beasts great kit i might add). Where do I order my pitman arm from. I hear about 4" and 6" drops. Whats appropriate for mine? Its the soa with stock springs. Do i need the croos over streering or high steer or will the dropped arm be enough?
Also. Does any one know the r&P on my vehichle? its an 82' cherokee larado, amc 20 rear and D44 front. I want to go 35" meats, and dont know if I need a gear swap. If so at what ratio do i need a new carrier? As always the help is greatly appreciated!

New2fsjeeps, we have the dropped pitman arm at www.bjsoffroad.com (http://www.bjsoffroad.com) in the products section, under suspension. Ours will fit both a 4" & a 6" drop.

As for the R&P, there should be either a tag or a stamp on both axles. If you can find out what they say, post here and either I can give you the ratio, or any of a dozen other people here will have that info. As for going 35 meats, if you do any road driving, you will want to probably go a max of 3.73. But, if you are mostly off-road, then you can go much higher to turn those meats. As for swapping carriers, I believe on the AMC20 you can go up to a 3.73 without having to change. On the d44, I think you can go slightly higher. But, I will probably need correcting on this.......

Actually, the pitman arm is one size, but it works on both the 4" and 6" kits.

Okay, Ill order one come this week. I just thought there was a difference in the sizes. This is why I wish someone would write " FSJ's for dummies" and send me the first copy for testing. I can tell anyone everything they want to know about a YJ but the FSJ's are new to me!
