Hi All,
Have been watching this on eBay -- wonder if its a good rebuilder as its already bored .040.
the 360 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33615&item=2420339364)
Thanks,
Mark

Max recommnded overbore on a 360 (per AMC engineers) is .1075". Only the 290 and 304 could be bored more. The 390 and 401 are limited.
Get as much info as possible about the general condition, but an overbore would not scare me away. Even if it's done poorly, there is room to clean it up.

So far as the ebay motor...it "sounds" like a good candidate but it is ebay and you're commiting to paying for something sight unseen. Good luck.

I'd go for it. If nothing else you will get a good set of heads and pumps and all that for spares even if the block were questionable. You could probably dell just the heads for $150 to $200 and the AC compressor if it comes with that.

I might be selling a 360 that is totally rebuilt already has about 10,000 miles on it. Edelbroclk cam and and other neat stuff. It pushes about 300hp I don't know what the torque on it is. I know someone else (JRZ_dad) has dibs right if I definitely decide to sell it, but if they already found one I'll let you know. It won't be as cheap as that one though. This engine is clean and still wrapped

Joe was correct about the 360 overbore. The number I gave was (.1075") for the "special" 360 built in 1970 for homologation requirements for SCCA. My mistake.
Mark~
I had the 360 listed on Ebay. The winner has not replied to my invoice and I am giving him one more day before I re-list it. If you are interested, send me an email.
I've been a member of IFSJ for a couple of years and have bought and sold parts from a number of members. I don't think I have an unhappy customer to date smile.gif
BTW, the first bidder retracted his bid claiming that he could not contact me, the truth is, he emailed twice and I replied twice because he wanted me to end the auction early.
