I rattled a few bugs loose on the waggy during hunting season this year. I rattled it around a bit on some backwoods roads, climbed some 50 degree inclines, I spun it out on a dirt road and almost dumped it in a ditch, I processed my doe on the tailgate, I took it on a 500 mile hunting trip on the other side of the state and I drove it through a farmers field doing about 50 chasing down white tail.
so far the only casualties have been my four wheel drive and my water pump. My water pump started dripping 2 days before my cross state hunting trip. It took me from about 0900-1500 to replace the water pump. I snapped a head off a bolt but I was able to weld on a nut and get it out with relative ease. The only problem I had was when I ran into the 15mm bolt that holds the power steering pump on, space was limited and I only had a deep well socket. I had to borrow a 15mm box wrench from my neighbor. I noticed my 4 wheel drive wasn't working when I couldn't get up the hill to my favorite hunting spot, I haven't checked it out yet but it probably has something to do with the safety switch by the transfer case.
The wagoneer did great, gas mileage was acceptable for what it is and I never had to take a tool out during the road trip.
