View Full Version : How do you know if you have Trac-Lok?

I'm looking through my factory service manual and see the section on Trac-Lok differentials. These only came on FSJ's. I look all through it but I don't see how to identify one. Does anyone know? I would be curious. TIA.

On D44 axles there is a tag between two of the cover bolts warning you a special lube is needed if it has a TL installed. Or jack up both rear wheels and turn one. If the other turns the same way it has a TL, if it turns opposite it's an open diff or the TL is worn out.
