or is it easier to list what isn't wrong with this picture?
found this on the local craigslist, a 75 wagoneer with more then a few 'issues'.
1975 jeep wagoneer yes a real amc jeep
got a built motor producing approx 435hp and 550tq with approx 700 miles
got dana 44 front and rear with spools, 3.73 gears recently rebuilt, spring over axle, high steer. lifted with springs
th400 transmission recently overhauled
37x14x15 superswamper boggers with tread on them, the rears are almost new and the fronts are about half worn down
the chassis has just over 90k orig miles on it
i want to trade for 87-94 jeep cherokee 2 door 5 speed I6 with some tires/lift/gears, or a small pickup from the mid 80s early 90s with a small 6 cyl or 4banger motor once again ANY TRADE HAS TO BE WORTH 3500 THIS JEEP RUNS AND DRIVES WITHOUT A FLAW, READY FOR THE HILLS AND THE ROCKS AND MUD.
thank goodness he's on the other side of the river. lets hope he doesn't find any bridges.

maybe im dumb but the only thigs i see is the u-bolt and the fact that he should have at least done a crossover steering.

Not my parts on there (might be a revolver in back) looks to be a rear post mount shackle flip rig.
It looks famialer.
MAybe some should give them a call and see if some of the parts will fit ;)

Oh, there's a bit more than that wrong with it. Yes, he should have at least done crossover, since he claims it has hi-steer. Then if you go to the photobucket images, the rear pinion angle is pointing above the output of the tcase. it should be parallel with the tcase, if he's not running a double cardan joint, and I'm betting he isn't based on the rest of the build. It's actually a couple of degrees too steep even if he is running one. Can you say massive vibration/short u-joint life?. Front isn't any better. Has it roughly parallel, and if I'm not mistaken, the front on a '75 is a double cardan joint. Same vibration issues. Wouldn't be too terrible as a trail rig, but really bad for the street. Maybe all his vibrations cancel each other out.
Wouldn't droop the passenger side front very far, or you'll be getting out and looking for the driveshaft.
It's quite possible that I'm wrong, and that he has set it up correctly since the details of the driveline into the tcase arren't pictured, but based on what is shown, my bet is that he took the easy way out. It would be an ok rig to start out with, but I think that an unsuspecting buyer would end up with a bit of remorse after the deal.

When did this section turn into look what this idiot did(pirate). I will move to general dissc. unless you turn the thread into a disscussion of learning but to me it looks like some might be just looking to slamm someone. Post up some detailed posts of your rig and let us examine in fine detail.

Looks about the same as a lot of rigs.. He could spend more time with a grinder on that axle for better U-joint fitment, but otherwise..
I cant view the pics, but I will say that based on the description, its probably not worth $3500.. Even if the motor can put out those numbers the drivetrain will not hold up, so a lot of $$ needs to be dumped into it..

didn't mean for the thread to be ugly, but i just can't believe this nutball things he has hi-steer and lift springs. its just an add-a-leaf and some misc overloads. isn't that shock upsidedown too? but he thinks its pretty cool and worth about 3x what it should be. bet it turns real nice to the right too.
as for posting up my own rig? i have, and believe me its not 'built' like that.

It troubles me that he tie-wrapped the braided brake-line to the FIXED portion of the shock, so that as that side droops, the line with plenty of room to flex is going to be stretched taut because of that tie-wrap.

Well, If I'm out of line for pointing a few things out that caught my eye, just remember that I'm not the liar who advertised the vehicle as having hi steer. He sort of left himself wide open to criticism, and I stand by what I said. Building something a bit substandard, and trying to pass it off as being something it isn't in a for sale ad are two completely different things, and you should expect to have it scrutinized. I did say that it was probably ok as a trail rig.
If you feel the need to move it, It's fine by me, but what was stated was justified, and I'm pretty sure you'd be upset if your son/daughter/significant other bought this vehicle, not knowing any better.
As to pics of my rig, it's still very much in the build stage. Have been gathering the appropriate pieces and working on the fabrication for 2 years now so it wouldn't end up like that. (I work out of state most of the time, so my time is pretty limited)

thats not bad if you give the hose enough slack for the droop. My buddy's YJ is the same way and its perfectly fine.

You missed my pioint. This is not a posted started by someone looking to buy the rig and asking what to be concered about before purchasing. That would be acceptable way to go about it. This thing isn't even listed on this site for godsake. It just felt a little to pirate like. Lets go out find a rig that we know is built sub standard and bash on it for 5 pages. My point about posting up pics is directed in terms of everyone has something on thier rig that another person might object to and term substandard. If you want to post pics of your rig, I can assure you I would be the last to even comment .

That's what I find very hard about buying a used Jeep. What one person overlooks another can find in a second. That's why I try to take a good friend with me so he can point out the faults and not allow me to see pasted them.
This same thing can be used to keep one out of very hot water with wifey  when you want to drag that next driveway eye sore home.:D

blt2... if you really think its that horrible, blast it. you won't hurt my feeler. but if someone on this board buys it and dies the next weekend in a scary suspension mishap because it was used for little more then a small gravel pile in the pictures.... ;)
