so i got a free electric window motor to put in.
i just want to get it in right, so when i flip the switch for down the widow doesnt stay in its place.
i got the window wipes removed an i moved the window arms up all they way so they stick out. i want to get the window bar (where the window attaches) firmly on those motor arms. im also not sure if im missing a wheel or something... anyways. i cant seem to get that bar on those arms right...
anyone?

for the arm to bar attachment, you need some (name?) press on snap washers. If you don't have these, you can order them through a jeep dealership for a couple bucks/ they clip onto the armbar post after it goes through the slot on the window bottom. You need the arms to be halfway up to do this/ It took me a whole afternoon with lots of swear words to make mine work/ Especially to get those clips to actually snap onto the armbar/

may be able to find some clips that will fit the arm studs at a hardware store also.
I will refer you to a previous post on their experiences.
I used the similar means to get the clips on the posts, have arms about half way up, reach in put clip on post and put a socket on the clip and use a screwdriver or such to push it on, it is somewhat difficult but can be done.

If you just order those on the website, just ignore the UPS shipping price as we'll just throw them into a padded envelope and charge you much less to ship them. Or you can call us at 253.265.6678. We have tons of them in stock.

Just noticed that you are in Oregon, we are in Washington so it would only be 1-2 days to get to you...

Yes, the post has a groove that the small prongs of the round clip have to snap into(and yes it's a real b*tch!) After many, many, many failed tries I figured out a way that worked for me. With the window about half way up, I found a combination wrench (the longer the better) that was just a little smaller than the clip(sorry I can't remember the size) and used a couple of small strips of duct tape to hold the clip to the boxed end of the wrench. Next, use the wrench to hold the clip over the post and use a pair of vice-grips(I used needle nose) to force the clip onto the post. Make sure to place the vice-grips under the lift arm and over the wrench(I think I placed it just before the box end,but not sure.) It took a few VERY FRUSTRATING trys but got both clips to snap onto the posts!!! P.S. I had the tailgate down when I did it. GOOD LUCK!!

I cut access holes with a 1 1/2 hole saw directly above. The stock clips are great if you can wait for them. But Ive never been able to get more than 1 use out of them. I use regular 3/8 e clips set into a dished 3/8 fender washer, that I have reamed out to 7/16 instead.
With the window out, I recommend freeing up the latch arm pivots and lubing them. Also make darn sure the rear switch is working. If the contacts are iffy, either replace the switch, or ,jump it out which is what I did. BTW, is the motor really dead? Ive never had 1 die, just the tracks and the switches.
Last but not least, are the hinges free but not broken? Either is just more trouble further on. Once you have the gate working well, use it frequently to keep it that way.

The posts on the arms are TOO BIG to fit thru the window channel slide area?
Never heard of or come across that before.
BJ's only has one window channel available for rear glass so should be the same for either elec or manual.
