hey there! i have been lurking around for a while, but havent been doing too much lately. i got married this fall and adopted her 5 yr old daughter, bought a house this past spring and have been trying to get everything moved, so the jeep stuff has taken a back seat....

anyway, i havent had a lot of time or money to keep going on the 88 wag, but things are settlin down and i hope to get goin again on it.

i kick myself every day, but i had to sell the 64 2 door wag to get the money for a down payment on my house. yall should see it though, i got it under fresh paint, president red and a white roof now, all fixed up and gawd is the red baron beautiful! havent got any pics yet, but ill post them when i do. i sold it to my uncle with the promise that i get to buy it back when he finishes his willys wagon, so its okay i guess.

my house is awesome, its a 4 bedroom cape cod with 2 garages on 7 acres thats mostly flat and out in the country, so i hopefully wont have to deal with townships tryin to make me get rid of my jeeps. i also have 1800 acres of woods and trails behind me and it is rumored(havent been able to talk to the owner yet) that the owner wants people to run trails and cut new ones! they own the property to ride their horses and want new trails to ride on as well as people to 4 wheel to keep the trails cleared

i just bought another 88 wag for parts so i am gonna take what i need and part out the rest. theres a guy down the road from me that has a 4 door cherk and a late 70s wag... gotta get down and talk to him.. :fsj: take care, and i hope to have the 401 installed and running this winter

lucy is buried in my dads garage, he has it blocked in by his diesel yukon. when he gets it out of the way i am gonna load her up and bring her home so i can start getting the 401 put in and start finishing her up.

the last few things i did to lucy were:greased and repaired all of the power window tracks and mechanisms, restored back window to operational condition and operable from dash and key switch, removed headliner for re-do, and got the tt's shackle flip in, also got all the other little creature comforts that dont usually work in these rigs back to operational.

i need to get the driveline and steering and brakes figured out and done and it should be ready for the road. my wife sat in the 88 parts waggy and she really likes it, but asked if we could make lucy a 4 sp. instead of an auto, so i am gonna look into a t18 and a ford np205 now:rolleyes: i am just really glad she has taken an interest, shes not so shure about my cj7

It is always nice when the better half gets involved (in the good way) it makes parts justification much easier. Sounds like you have a good plan and as always post pics of your progress on her.

Very sweet looking rig. Sad you had to sell it, but atleast you know where it went, and that you'll prolly end up buying it back. I love the paint scheme. Whiting the roof always looks good on those old wags. Congrats on the marriage, the new house, and all!

well, i just got a ford t18/205 combo for lucy. i traded the front axle out of my latest 88 wag for it. so now i need the 401 flywheel and i can start putting her back together, i cant wait to get her here to the house so i can start working on her again! :fsj:

thanks for the congrats! good thing we got the house, i just found out i am gonna be a daddy in 9 months! hope i can keep funding the jeep stuff and i guess i gotta get the wag done, itll be easier than the cj to get the car seats in;)
