Howdy!
I know I haven't been around in awhile... Figured I needed to get my FSJ fix back on...
I'm dreaming about a full size again. When I get the chance I think I'm going to snatch me up a mostly rust-free 1976-1979 Wagoneer... Would like to get one with a 401, or stick one in. Put on a 4" lift to clear some 31-32" rubber. Add sturdy aftermarket front/rear bumpers (with swing away tire carrier) and rocker guards. Maybe do a guage swap to BJ's. Add a rear gas tank where the spare tire goes. And of course go looking for a rhino grill. Hmmm... Must make happen...
But, I have to get out of Iraq first.
:p

Weeel.... I hope you don't think any less of me... I separated from the Air Force in July 05. I quit my civil service job in Sept 07. And I'm a dirty evil contractor in Iraq as of Oct... So will my FSJ dreams still come true?

Well, they should considering how much more bank you are making than those of us still over here in green. I have several friends that are planning/dreaming of getting out when they get home and coming back as contractors to sock away some cash..
Good luck!

Be safe, brother.
And if you make any FSJ sightings in the Land of the Two Rivers make sure you post up pics....I spent a year searching for the legendary "Uday's Wagoneer" but gave up...

Good to hear from you Jason. Keep your head low. Save as much money as you can and there'll be a Jeep for you somewhere.

Thanks guys. Yep, that was me on MPJAI. Sold the CJ to a good guy. Hopefully he can give it the love it needs... Wife is selling the house right now. She's moving up to PA. Maybe my first R&R I'll go jeep hunting. :)

Blackwater or Triple Canopy?
When you get back, if you want a state side job doing contract security for the government, let me know. It is in Amarillo TX. The training is similar, the pay is similar, but we dont get shot at.. Well, not yet at least.. :D

I'm working Project Reporting for a construction company over here. So fortunately I haven't had to be out on the road yet.

If you go Jeep hunting in PA, all you'll find is rust. Besides, since you're married, you'll be busy doing other things on R&R.
