you could go to a np208

a np228 is very similar to a np229 but i forget whats different besides it not having a viscous coupling

I have two NP229s here I'm planning to strip down to torque test the viscous couplers... if you need one (it's lighter than shipping the whole freaking case) shoot me an email and maybe I can set you up if thats the part you need and you want to replace it.

NP228 has an open differential, NP229 has the viscous coupler. Both are full-time/part-time cases.

The 229 is a good case for general use. It has the benefit of being locked in 4Lo. If you are going to get radical, you will want something stronger.
