So, I've got an 86 GW and I have officially reached the end of my rope about the carb. It's been rebuilt many times and still is not right, I need a reliable rig so it's time to replace. What's the prefered intake / carb combo? I'm assuming 4 barrel is the way to go, hopefully I won't have Wa state emissions issues, but I'll cross that bridge...If only the 'mando was this fun...
Thanks,
I had contacted summit and thy said the intack is #3731 for edelbrock intake with EGR, and the carb was #1400 as I recall. The intake was emmissions ok'd but the carb I don't know.
Do a search might get more info.
1406 is the egr carb and 1400 is the same electric choke model w/out egr. i was told the the carb need not be egr just the manifold. the egr carb was more for gm vehicles. i read that here on a post but have no confirmation of it.
