I will be installing the low gear reduction unit this weekend on my Chero. Do I also need to install a new sealing ring between the reduction unit and the transfer case or can I just use the old one? Should I also use a silicone sealant?
Who in the world would have a new seal if needed?

I have sealed both the T-case halves and the reduction unit with black RTV and have not experienced leaks. Of course YMMV.
Good luck.

the silicone works fine but go lightly with it. also the snap ring can be a bite.
