I pick up the new starter today, and it is going on Thursday. I washed the all the steering parts, and they are still clean, so I must just be delusional about the power steering. So what else should I check before I put it up for sale? I am contemplating gettin new plug wires. The oil was changed along with all other fluids replenished about 200 miles ago. Got a new air filter then too. What else should I do before putting it in the paper and on ebay?

If they're still good, I wouldn't bother replacing plug wires. Unless you need to add (I can't believe I'm writing this..) "bling" to the engine bay.

Otherwise, a nice wax and shine and take GOOD pictures on a GOOD day. I laugh every time I see vehicles photographed when it's RAINING or overcast.

And make sure those pix are CLEAR (as in, sharp, and in focus). Few things worse than blurry pictures. No one wants to see "Sorry, my camera phone doesn't take good pictures."

take the photos of the rig on a sunny day parked under a tree - the reflections on the hood, windscreen, light variations with part shade etc add a little something

Dont spend a single penny on mechanical stuff unless you abo****ly HAVE to!! It is an old rig, and minor "needs" are to be expected... As long as it runs smooth, call it good..

Instead, spend that extra buck or two on cleaning products, or even a professional cleaning. Beauty sells!!! Once you clean, shine, and polish the poo out of it, take the others guys advise on the pics, and you should be good to go..

get under it and power wash the snot out of it, no visible oil leaks etc.
and spit polish the outside and inside or have someone pro clean it.

I have a friend who works for a cleaning business, so I will have him work his magic and clean the interior.
