Could some one do me a quick favor? I need to know which trans cooler line is the pressure line. Mines out of commission right now and Id like to do the work while its down. Could someone just run out to their Jeep after its warmed up and tell me which side is hotter, that should be the pressure line correct?
Thanks

I dont have the same tranny as you, but I did just need to know the same thing on my 700R4 and found this site. It lists the RETURN line for all the tranys. the other one is your pressure line.

Hope this helps.

Well that chart is great, but I dont plan on dropping the transmission to find out which line is which, I was hoping someone could tell me relative to where the lines attach to the radiator. BTW its an 84 with a TF727
Thanks

i dont think it makes any difference at the cooler, because the cooler is just a loop inside the bottom tank of the radiator

I know, but I am going to add an auxilliary trans cooler, so I need to know, which side is hot, and which side is cold.
Thanks

The line at the rear of the trans is the return.
