OK, the search engine will not work for a word as small as 'six'.
SO. Anyone done it? seen one? bought one? built one for somebody else?
Got pics?
OR, good pics of a moderate (36 inch range) stretch 4-dr.
need a tow rig, with more seats, and I just hate my suburbans anymore...
thanks in advance

hmmm i wonder how that tows as a narrow track... as long as the sidewalls are stiff enough, and maybe do a disc swap in back...
thanks

About 30 years ago we had a club member that owned a wrecking yard and he took two travelalls and made a 6 door trashhauler out of them. I doubt that any pics either taken or survive if they were.

There was limo for sale on ebay a year or two ago.. That might be the same one..
Also, wasnt that you Art that had the stretch waggy/J truck? The process would be about the same..

I found this on a road trip. The sign said it was for sale. Didn't get the number but I could if anyone really wants it.

Zack has the LongTrack, but I don't know how many doors it's got off the top of my head.

Zack's Long Trac is a 4 door. Mine was just squaring up the rear doors on a wag and hanging a cab back on it to close it in. Still only a 4 door.

Hey Dave,
Should work if you search for "six*" instead of "six", same with any three character word (401*, oil*, etc)

Someone posted that one in the last few months. We had some discussion here and decided it was scary looking. :grumble: Like, what is with the lack of straight lines along the sides and roof? ;)

If a 4 door 'rear half' had been used instead of a 2 door rear half (in red), then it would have been a 6 door.

(edit. oops- I didn't read well enough, found it!)
Is there a writeup on this one? I have 2 waggys and a cherokee and could use the extra seats and space. (this setup on a 3/4 or 1 ton frame and running gear....)

true, since the rear of the front door opening is in the same spot on both types, that is exactly the length i would wind up with... and methods would be mostly the same as well....
looks like i have to find those pics of the longtrac series....

(thanks for all the info folks - but that ultra mile long white thing is just.... not good....)

The two FSJ frames are boxed and grafted together. Suspension is upgraeded to 3/4 ton, axles are D70 rear, D60 front.

Wow, COLOFIREMAN, that's in front of a body shop in Leadville, correct? I was just there visiting in July and took pictures of the very same stretch Wag.

It is very scary. The whole middle of the vehicle sags and it looked like alot of bondo, ie gallons.
