I was all giddy after the driver called at 7 this morning. Got pix of the load coming in. The truck is in pretty good condition actually. A lot of surface rust and the RF fender will need to be replaced. I am sure the Ziebart job that was done on it many years ago helped save this old beast...

:) Heh Tad, we are not in the desert, but we can see it from here. ;)
Trees actually have a fighting chance. It was much more dense when I moved to the area in 01 before the ips beetle kill of millions of pinion trees.

Very nice find

What year is that truck? Looks to be pre-'73 right?

BTW, I have a perfect step bumper(no dents & straight but heavy) for a '67-72 J-truck that would look great on that truck ...$50+ride...let me know.

Thanks! Looking forward to pictures of that bumper. Oh yeah, it is a 72 J4800. :fsj:

Thanks to everyone who has followed this and wished us the best in getting it home. :)

I also want to thank Tony Casey of BullGear Inc (http://bullgearinc.com/) again for his part in feeding our addiction! :D

Flint, your place is truly a Mecca. We should all have to visit it.

Flint, your place is truly a Mecca. We should all have to visit it.Mecca huh? (thanks!) :)
The English word mecca (uncapitalized), meaning "a place to which many people are attracted" is derived from Mecca. (I didn't know that!)
It is hard to stay humble with comments like that. The problem with humilty is:
as soon as you think you might have some, you don't... ;)

Black - It's a Custom Cab. That appears to be kind of a Wagoneer treatment with wood grain styled door panels but vinyl floor covering instead of carpet.

There are many more pictures we got from Tony before we agreed to buy it here:
