I'm currently working on a swap for my '82 WT Cherokee. So far I have :
-350 Chevy
-SM465 Transmission 32 spline output from '85 Blazer
-AMC NP208 with GM NP 208 32 spline input hub installed. Had to re index holes
Still working on gathering parts but I'll keep you guys posted. I'll do a write up when I'm done

Sounds like you have the ingredients for a very good swap! Should be great when its done! I've heard the SM465 is a very tough tranny and I think it has a PTO port too right? You could run a pto winch off that.
