Jeep always starts, warms up and runs perfect, fastidle working as it should, EXCEPT
if it is raining, snowing, or the humidity is high, this is what happens.
Start jeep in the morning, fast idles as it should then kicks down, slowly starts to idle rough, then starts to overload at idle, then will not idle at all, turn off motor for 3-5 minutes and restart, idles fine all day without and problems at all, even if motor gets cold again that same day it's fine until sitting over night.
I checked the choke when this happens and it is working as it should, I checked the air cleaner door and it is full open, please remember that when this happens it is smoking and running rich: ie: fuel overload. please advise if you can, and thank you in advance

No, if your EGR is stuck at idle it wouldn't act fine on dry days and bad on wet.
It's a moisture thing. Make sure all your plug wires are good, cap, ign parts etc and that the choke stove/pre-heat on the manifold is there and working. Rough warming up in wet weather is a carb thing where the FI folks don't have as much a prob because the computer is compensating for the moisture in the air.
You might try adj the choke a bit. For best results most folks w/MC carbs adj the choke for winter use and re-adj again for summer.

You described a perfect carb icing scenario. When air passes through the carb, the temp of the air decreases by as much as 30 degrees. With air temps in the 50s or 60s and enough moisture present- ice forms on the inside of the carb blocking the air flow and causing an overly rich condition. If you have no stove pipe from the exhaust manifold to your air cleaner; you'll likely get carb ice.

You can can try to block the EGR line to see what happen?. My truck also has been acting like yours in the past few days, but never had any problem with cold starting for the past two and a half years. I am suspecting the cab Idle circuit or fuel problem, so this week I will try to fill up the tank with a brand name premium grade gas.
Joe, do you mean the choke should be more "close" during winter?.

try this: disconnect the temperature sensor from the vacuum lines at the back of the air cleaner, and plug the vac lines. then put constant vac to the fresh air flapper in the air cleaner intake. this will probably solve the rough idle and carb load up issue, but will lead to icy plates in the winter. i have had mine set up like this for 8 months now with no probs, even down to 15 degrees outside.
