Just picked up a 78 Wag. The Model 4350-V carborator needs help. How much does it typically cost to have rebuilt? Can you even buy one new? What is the best option?
Thanks

the best idea is too rebuild yourself.....DO NOT BUY A REBUILT ONE!!! either buy NEW or rebuild yourself..

Following is a reprint of an email I recently received from Quick Fuel Technology. Over time I've become very impressed with Marty's technical knowledge.
Ralph:
Thank you for your e-mail regarding rebuilding a Motorcraft 4350. As long as this carburetor is not an electronic controlled, which being a 1978 it probably isn't, it should be pretty straight forward. Our standard rebuild is $150.00 plus any non-kit type components and/or any damage to a significant part. That price would include complete remanufacturing and recoloration of the zinc dicast components. Unfortunately the turn around time at the plater is too long for a R & R type service, so the steel parts would simply be degreased, cleaned and reused. As with all of our carburetors, it will be engine tested before it is shipped.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
