I went down yesterday. I let my wife drive all day. Ended up breaking a u-joint on the front driveshaft on The Ugly.

When did you cut the top off and build the cage? I remember you squishing the top in the last videos you posted.

Cool videos though!

I cut it all off after that last run. I had the cage under the body before.

Thanks!

Is that the fan hitting the shroud while he is climbing?

And did the green TJ make it up?

Yes it was.

The TJ that was lifting a tire had to winch. That hill was all about wheel base and momentum.

Last ones.

Man, that place is close to where I live... didn't know about it. Of course, I'm just getting back into this hobby again. Trail bossed the Dixie Run many years ago... haven't been offroad in over 10 years. I'll have to check it out once I'm sure the engine will stay cool.

Vids I saw were pretty sweet Steve. Did you drive at all? MM is roughly 5 1/2 to 6 hours away from me. It'd be hard to give up the seat for me :drivin:

I thought it was his locker locking and unlocking... if I'm remembering the correct one. There were so many I lost track... lol

Very nice vids! Your wife did a fine job, of course the spotter only gets credit when something goes wrong though. LOL

See you at the Fall Crawl? Hopefully I'll have my Cherk ready for it, still got a few things to finish.

Yes I think his locker is what was making the noise. Glad I didn't install the front. I opnly did the rear and it's doin' fine!:D

Only drove back after she broke the front u-joint on The Good The Bad and The Ugly. I'm a little light in the rear without the front pulling.

It's only about an hour and a half from me. Easily a day trip.

I like to watch what I created perform as well as drive it. You can see good and bad things on an obstacle from outside the vehicle than you can from the driverseat. Plus if she's happy, I get to go more often.

I've got her convinced that she needs to let me build her a YJ that can hang with Frank and paint it pink. That means I get to build another Jeep when I get the money!:fsj:

I tried to get my Regional manager to pay me to go to the Fall Crawl. He said it was a little too far out of our region. Unfortunately since I just started working at 4 Wheel Parts, I have no vacation. I will not be able to make Harlan this time.:banghead:

I will keep trying tho. I want to hit Lion's Den again with no body!

Too bad man, hope it works out that you can make it. It's going to be fairly big this year, they've even got some raffle prizes. A little birdie (with a big white FJ80) told me you were coming. Are you at the Marietta or Norcross store? Used to live in Norcross, never could stand the Cobb County speed traps though. LOL Look at the brightside - you're hooked up for parts discounts and some company paid trips, right?

I used to live in Douglasville, but that was many moons ago... it was still the country then... lol... I miss some things about Atlanta, but not much. Good wheelin' just to the north though. I was vice-president of the Georgia Bounty Runners back then.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when the white GW carb died when he stopped half-way up the hill. Now THAT'S real life FSJ wheelin'! You're rollin' down a hill backwards with hardly any brakes or steering. Gotta love it! Nice vids!

That was me a few years ago. That's why I now run propane!
