We picked up this hunk of junk in a creepy little back-woods place for $500. A 71 GMC 3/4 ton - smashed-in passenger side included. And would you believe all the 4-wheel-drive parts WORK, oh and it runs decent too.
We took it right off the trailer and into a mud hole in the back yard...It got stuck a "few" times and good ol'Dirty was there to tow it back in...
Hey and we havent named the big ugly pile either so if anybody has any suggestions...

thats my fav body style truck I kick my self in the butt every day for letting my 72 step side chebbie go... i always like the GMC grilles better - I think them quad lamps are tougher looking.

The Spring Pack: That called a "free lift" - I had some military-wrapped springs that broke. So I harvested the good leafs and added them to some stock leafs for Dirty. Added like a freaking 1 1/2" to my lift.
Now I just need some decent 35s. Currently running on 2 33" super-swampers (off a buddy's baby jeep) in the back on a welded "lincoln-locker", a Pro-Comp X-Terrain on the front drivers side that I found behind 4-Wheel-Parts and a bald all-terrain on the passenger side. But heck, it works, goes everywhere. Even pulls the stupid GMC out of the mud. But as with everything that has ever been put on Dirty - they gotta be cheap or free.

May not be a jeep, but still a cool find. I'd prolly name it "mac" cause the G is missing on the hood, heh.

Lurch is great! I hadnt thought of that... Eveyone around here keeps saying wait till you get it lifted then a name will come to you... But who knows when that will be!
And HEY, trailsforus - we got a liberal hippy azz living next door who goes 4-wheeling with us all the time. Your welcome to join the party.
