I had a Mallory Unilite conversion in my 70 LeMans. Mallory doesn't list one for the Jeep distributor in Jegs or Summit. Is there one available?

i think 76 has the motorcraft distrib if it does then just do the TFI upgrade smile.gif
Does yours have the Prestolite elec ignition? If so you'll need to do the TFI upgrade with a later Motorcraft dist and Duraspark ign module. Or spend mega bucks on a Jacobs/MSD system. If you have the GM Delco points type dist Pertronix make an electro ign swap kit for it using your old Delco points dist. The Delco points-to-electronic swap kit is in the Summit catalog...look under GM stuff.

It has points and from what I remember, it looks like an old GM distributor. It is about 2 hours away at my parents' house right now, so I can't just run out and look. :(
Is the Pertronix kit reliable? I know my Unilite never let me down in 6 or so years of daily driving.

Geez I wish I knew Dave...good question though. I'm at the toss up stage of Pertronix/TFI TFI/Pertronix??? I too would have to get a new dist/ign mod to do the TFI but I'm thinking cheap and lazy here for the Pertronic upgrade to use my nearly new Delco dist. Hopefully someone else can jump in here with some pro's/cons of the Pertronics swap and clue us both in smile.gif
