Model 17 NT cherokee S ?

I was looking at a NT cherokee today (No Brandon NOT YOURS) and it is a 1976 model 17 narrow track "S" package.

I just wanted to confirm that a model 17 (on the VIN) could be a NT

In my chiltons it says "15",wagoneer 4 dr,"16" cherokee nt,"17" cherokee wt,"18" cherokee 4 dr,"25" j10 with 119 wheel base,"45" j10 with 131 wb,"46" j20

My 76 Chief "S" is a WT, and it is a 17. I believe that 16 is a NT.
