SOA?
AAL?
And the Shackle Flip? I am having trouble grasping that and shackle pinch.
Thanks and I want to thank everyone for the help thus far. Not as dumb as I was yesterday, but there is always tomorrow.:D

SOA: Spring Over Axle. Involves relocating the springs above the axle instead of under the axle. Nets around 7" of lift on the front
AAL: Add-A-Leaf. Involves adding super-stiff leaf spring additions to raise the rig back up, used in conjunction with old / worn springs. Provides a pretty rough ride for a little while until they wear out.
Shackle Flip: taking the rear shackle on the rear of the rear leaf springs and flipping it so that the shackle points down. Used in conjunction with an SOA conversion to match the amount of lift.

Thanks!
So now my springs are sagin' like... well you know it is a 75'. I will use this to camp and drive around town, so no rock crawling yet. what would you do for the droopy the aged dog syndrome? I have stands under the frame now and the wheels still touch the ground, looks impressive, but I know I will return to lowrider granny wagon soon enough. Just attempting to get a list of NEEDS :D going. I do think I like the stock wheels but the biggest/best tire is important as well.
This post IS worthless without pics. I will post some soon.

I like the Sunshine Yellow. :)
Add a Leafs (2" lift) work good to get your rig back to sittin proper or even a bit higher. Then you could run 30 or 31" tires. All depends on where you want to go with this. The wheels are 15x7" and you can run up to 32x11.5 tires pretty easy on those. Bigger if you don't mind them ballooning out a bit. A 4" suspension lift (all new spring packs) and 31 or 32" tires would do ya real good.

Mr. Justice,
I think I exchanged pm's with you a while back when you had a different name. I nearly bought that Chero from the guy in Leeds. What part of B'ham are you in? I'm in Homewood. You're gonna need some new springs if you want a decent ride across the superbly maintained streets of Bham. holler at me if you need some help. Also, whenever you decide to get rid of those wheels, I'll gladly take them off your hands.

Dang, I didn't notice you were in Bham... hope to see you at my house on Oct. 27... we're having an FSJ get-together. I'm in between Ashville and Oneonta. It doesn't matter whether you have your Jeep ready or not, either. You may be able to get some ideas for it.
