I think it was 30 for the stick too. But I already had the stick, and just needed the tube... They were really good!

Ok, silly thought here - why couldn't you go to Autozone and get one there? I know they sell chrome tubes and I'm sure you could get a stick there too....

Last time I checked(1.5 years ago?) a "new" tube was $8 w/o stick and $12 w/dip stick from the Chrysler stealership.

When I broke the dipstick tube on my Nova a year or so back, I whittled a plug from a green piece of maple about 3" long that fit down in the block about an 1 1/2". I tapped it in another 1" or so to make sure it stayed in place until I could replace the tube.

It wasn't pretty but it kept the oil in the block and off the manifold.

For me, autozone nor o'reilly's carries many jeep parts. And they don't want to order stuff. And the dealership has nothing earlier than 81. And the boneyards have TWO full size jeeps. Pretty cool, eh?

Wow. If that's the case, then you probably have about five parts-sources on speed-dial, and a daily delivery from the UPS guy... smile.gif
