Going to look at a couple of wags tomorrow. Guy has a '76 and a '79. He says they both run and he wants $800 for the pair.

I don't have any AMC manuals and am wondering how many psi I need to look for on 360's, 401's and 258's. Stupid me, I forgot to ask what engines these wags have.

Also will be looking at a '69 wag sometime next week that has the 232. Anybody know how many psi to look for in that engine?

Thanks in advance,
Jason

I'd just make sure the compression is within 10% in all cylinders. Are you going to check them wet or dry?

Just got off the phone with the guy with the two wags. Both are 360's.

64, I plan on testing them dry. And I agree they should all be within 10%. Just curious as to what the book shows for psi.

By the way that's a beautiful wagon you have there. Someday I'd love to have a willy's wagon. There's one not too far from me with a Ford 302, AOD, for $7500. Haven't looked at it, as I can't afford it. But have seen it driving around, sure is nice.

Thx for the compliment on my Willys. Remember to pull all the plugs, ground the coil wire, and wedge the throttle open. Then crank it over the same number of turns each time. Good luck with your new projects.
