Well, I was given the opportunity to buy my 79 Chief back. I have a whole collection of parts to put on it, and I am SOOO excited. I dont think that I will stray away agin. I love these rigs, and the people that come along with them..
Specs: 79 Cherokee Chief W/T, 360, T18, D20, SOA/Flip, High Steer, HD44/D60 FF, 35x14.5/16.5 SSR's
Here is what it looked like when I brought it home for the first time back in 04.

This it after the SOA, and almost how it looked when I sold it last year (May I think)..

Now, this is it today. Almost EXACTLY the way I sold it. The other guy never drove it, and the rear brake lines still have not been hooked up from the J20 axles swap that I did right before I sold it..

It's funny how these things can go back and forth between people.
Two of my FSJs went back to the person I got them from!

Good on you, man!
Looks like the tin worms got to it a little more since you sold it.
I think that I like the smaller black mirrors, what are those from?

Yeah, it is amazing how fast rust and sludge will grow here in the PNW..
I am trying to buy body patches at the moment to fix all that..
I dont remember where I bought the mirrors. If you want them, send me $20 and I will mail them to you.. I have other plans.. :D

Yeah, me too!
It was one of those deals where I HAD to sell it since I was moving, and had no way to get it there.
I have missed it ever since..
It is in a bit worse shape than I remembered it was in though  , but thats ok, I know a place where I can find all the parts and help that I need..

Actually, I was refering to the forum..
Is there a good yard in Amarillo? I havent lived there long, and as soon as I got my house built and all settled in, the Air Force called me back up to Washingtion for a while (AGAIN)...
I have noticed though, there are TONS and TONS of Waggys, and several J-trucks cruising around.. I havent seen a Cherokee yet that I can remember..

I too would like to know if there are some good yards in Amarillo. That would be great if there are.

I would LOVE to have a lift like that on the "Duck Blind" (name of my wag). But i have heard for long distance driving, the big tires are not very economical.

Economical.. Who need economical... :D
Actually, with my T-18 I get about 13-15 mpg with the SSR's...
But, even if I only got 8 mpg, I still would not have it any other way.
