Tore my oil seal :(

I was totally excited this morning. I finally starting putting everything back together following the installation of my new timing chain set. I scrubbed and cleaned my nasty, dirty, greasy, timing case cover. I was beginning to install the oil seal. I carefully tapped the new seal in. Needing to seat it home, I utilized a semi-round block of wood I found in the wood pile. Well, it worked, sort of.
I began to inspect it telling my son how important it is to have it properly installed. Then I saw it. A small tear approximatly 1 mill. long in the front side of the seal. :mad:
Now after a trip to the parts store to ORDER an new one :mad: because no one EVER stocks parts for the Waggy :mad: I should have everything put back together by next weekend :rolleyes:
By the way, I picked up a seal driver to install the new one ;) I hope I have better luck.

Doh! I use a brass hammer and tap it in clockwise.

Any luck with the diagrams today?

heh...thats funny. Most every part I need the Napa here has it in stock. But that could be because there are LOTS of old cars here ;p (no salt on roads to rot them away)
