all day saturday it took,1 fat lip from a slipped prybar, countless busted knuckles and sore arms.but it was worth it!the front went smooth,3 hours start to finish.the rear was a pain, all the spring bushing pins were rusted to the bolts, preventing their easy removal.but i got them!tell ya what,i had the luxury of using a hoist,my air tools and torch,i dont know how you guys do this stuff in your driveway
well heres the pics. thanx for previos input that helped me get the job done smile.gif

thanx guys! its a rusty's 4 inch, but i gained about 5 1/2 inches due to the old springs sagging.
i'm planning on getting some new tires, but it probbably wont be for awhile, i just need to many other parts :( but i think i will go with 33's when i do. those are 31/10.5's in the picture.

What amazes me is how the lift really dwarfs the tires. The 31's on my WT fill the (sagging) wheel wells very nicely thank you, but they are going to look really dinky when I get to the 4" BDS. I may have to reconsider going with 33's and change to 35's!

Keep us posted and send pics whenever you get the 33's - I'll be very interested.

Great looking truck!

Looks great goofy. You're in the same boat as me. I got about 5.5" out of my Rusty's and my 31's were dwarfed too. Can't decide on 33s or 35s. The gears (3.31s) are keeping me from going to 35s.
Love the color BTW

Why'd your neighbor take down his flag? :D

I've got 35's and 3.31 gears for now......it's really not that bad.

Besides...who needs speed when you can INTIMIDATE with 35" tires. :D :D

Nice job. Nothing better looking than a straight Cherokee WT with a lift.

Now you dun'it

the wife saw your rig.
here is my alternative. order that lift kit for her rig NOW or every 5th word outta her mouth will be "lift kit".

I just love it when she talks dirty
how long can I last smile.gif

on a 79 Chero Stock, what are the largest tires that can fit on the rims and in the wells without harm of damage to wells and drivability?

lol,i didnt notice the flag. he must have taken it down because he cant lower it half-staff.
on a 79 Chero Stock, what are the largest tires that can fit on the rims and in the wells without harm of damage to wells and drivability? if its a widetrack i think you can fit 32x11.5's
my 31's had room even with sagging springs.
hey gimpy, thats a crack-up :D thats what i did to my wife for about 2 weeks until she finaly said"order the dam# thing and leave me alone!"
thanx again for compliments! smile.gif
