The post title says it all, I'm looking to get one of the BJ's plastic replacement tanks, I'll need a new fuel pickup/sending unit as well.

What kind of pitfalls/snafu's will I encounter with this install? My stock straps are in good condition but I'm not sure if the fuel filler hose will work.
Also, my gas cap leaves a lot to be desired.

This is all going into a '63 shortbed j truck (I believe townside bed?) Has anyone ever pulled a late model gas cap/filler tube and transpanted it?

I still have fuel issues and want to solve them. Thanks

William, you use the stock sending unit and pickup tube that we sell here:

What fuel issues are you having?

Thanks fo the reply, Billy

Fuel issues are numerous

Started with junk electric fuel pump, replaced and relocated with a holly blue top. tank leaks, the hoses from the fuel pickup have cracks, the sending unit does not work and finally a line from the filter (after the pump) is old and ?. I'm rebuliding or replacing everything so why not a tank and sending unit? Thanks

PS - Anyone have any info on the fuel filler/gas cap assembly?
