On the last weekend of August my wife, my dog and myself got to take the GW and borrow my brother's boat out on a little outing.
We left on Sunday and took the day off of work on Monday. We went to Cave Run Lake located near Salt Lick, KY about 126 miles from the house. Camped out in a tent and being that the kids were all back in school we had the lake and campground all to ourselves. Even the bugs left us alone!
For those interested in the boat it is a 20' jonboat made by War Eagle. 115 hp Evinrude E-tec motor, live well, 36 gallon tank, gps unit, fish finder, storage for shotguns, fishing poles, dry storage and trolling motor.
The only thing is that I wish I had a weight distribution hitch for the boat trailer - GW springs are squishy. We loaded as much as we could in the boat.
