This took longer to get to, but life happens. Thought Id start a new thread so everyone wouldnt have to search through the build up. These are just together for mock up to check backspacing, clearance, etc.
Recentered 12 bolt hummer rims with a GLO rockring
Ill open the floor for comment, anything Im overlooking? (other than misspelling the title, gotta get more sleep!)

The centers are Copperhead Fab.... there are several manufacturers offering the centers. They essentially squeeze as you hammer them down. Then carefully mark and measure, tack in, and check for trueness, clearance, etc.
Need to counter sonk the holes for the lugs to center. Pics to follow when more progress is made

Keep us posted on that.
I looked at a set a PHX member had last spring and was concerned about tapering the lug holes.
His were plasma cut and the HAZ makes the steel very hard to work with, almost like tempered steel.
Possibly those were water-jet cut which would make it much easier I would think.

I have to verify the taper my my lugnuts as they arent standard size (9/16 studs with one inch nut. As soon as I can measure the bevel on the lug Ill get a bit and go to town.
They are a mild steel so I can work with them thankfully.

I went with the 3/8" wheel centers by copperhead fabrications. Yes they are plasma cut. I originally had a friend try to taper the holes at his Dad's shop, but he was not keen on the whole idea and just barely beveled them. Partially because the steel was too hard and part because of lack of confidence.
I took them to AZFSJC member amc79j10 and had him countersink them after that. He got the job done, but found the centers were far from precision cut in the first place. The steel was hardened and the ovalled shape of each hole caused problems. I would have been much better off to have copperhead not even cut the holes and just taken them to a machine shop to be drilled.
IMO I don't recommend going with Copperhead Fab unless he not only change his way of cutting the holes, but he should provide a finished wheel center. He's got the shop. He should ship them tapered and ready to be welded in.
After I picked them up they were stolen with my car. I got the crashed car back and the centers were still in the trunk.
Project on hold for a while.
