I was talking to an acquaintence this weekend, and the subject of GMC and JEEP hubs came up (I've been looking for some GM hubs to replace the bad one(s) on my Jimmy).
Basically, he informs me that the GM 10-bolt hubs on my Jimmy and the Jeep Dana 44 hubs on my Chero are interchangeble...
"Truth" or "Fiction" guys? Can these be swapped?

As far as I know, GM's front hubs on up to '87 are the same as the Jeeps. I have GM rotor/hubs on my J10, and of course the calipers and pads are GM, right from the factory.
They should be the same(I think) unless there's a difference between years. Try going to Warns site and look up a set of hubs for both your Chev axle and the D44 and see if the p/n's are the same.

Same animal. I have swapped hubs from as new as an 89 GM to a 76 FSJ axle.

SUH-WEET!!! That makes it alot easier on me as far as obtaining parts...
Lastly, I'm "assuming" that based on the responses, the hub internal gear can also be swapped too(?)....
Thanks again - I'm off to the WARNS site as Joe suggested!!!
