Polling my fellow FSJers to see if there may be a market for a console under the dash to mount speakers so the doors can come off and still have music. Any thoughts/interest?

there was a guy on here that was local to me that was interested in doing that, but i haven't seen him on in a while. (dan somethin...) anyway, i might be intested but i think shipping would be the biggets downfall. MDF isn't light...

I'm in the process of making a full center console, not trying to take your idea but it's been a long time coming.

Interesting, but...I'd have to see the product in mind.

Definately!!!! I'm thinking something simple that goes from where the dash stops, straight down to the floor. Not a console between the seats. Perhaps even incorporating a place for a cb/radio/guage pod/etc.

I was looking at those New Jeep sound bars and wondered if it would look bizarre along the inside rear roof of my Cherokee...
Also if you sneak by a 1995 or similar year Jeep Cherokee "Country" They have a molded roof pillar with two speakers and it blends right into the headliner like it's all one piece. I looked everywhere on line for a pic but didnt see one. Take peak and check one out if you walk by one.
I'm also going to keep my dash original and put a Sirius Satelite receiver in the glove box. Even if I dont add any speakers, my center dash one works amazingly well! Not one crackle, snap or pop!

A friend of mine built one a long time ago (2001) he made the heater vents go thru it to the front and back seats. With radio and gauges mounted in it.
He hasn't been on here for years.
