Edelbrock intake and carb replacement.

I have a 90 GW 72,000 miles. PO had done some rigging under the hood, but until recently car ran great. When he replaced the intake manifold and carb with edelbrock components, specifically a 1406 carb and a 3731 intake manifold, he did not reconnect alot of the emmisions hoses back up.
First off he completely uninstalled the air intake manifolds on both sides including check valves and hoses. About 5 or 6 of the vacumm tubes are not installed and plugged with a screw or capped.
I guess my question is do all the hoses reconnect somewhere on the carb or are they not needed any more. I know that some research is due, and I need to get the installation manuals from edelbrock on both the carb and intake manifold. Haynes book doesn't help to much with detail on connections.
Anyone out there have a similiar hookup under the hood? Do I have the correct setup? Any help would be much appriciated.

90 Grand Wag, Edelbrock 1406 carb and 3731 EGR intake manifold. 79000 miles know. Last 7000 since bought have been great. Good mileage (13 TO 15).

Unless you have emissions checks in your area, don't even worry about it. Just tear the rest of that junk off. If your manifold has EGR, leave it operational, EGR is actually a benefit.
