Kind of under the radar. Seller doesn't call it a Super, but it has the trim and console. Sacramento, Ca.

In 1970 the Super was no longer available. That console was available in the "Custom" trim package however.

I saw that on there. Like Flint says, it's a 1414X Wagoneer Custom.
It sure looks pretty nice. I wonder what the reserve is?

I might bid on it. Even if it isn't super wagonner, it is close enough for me.

It says that it is a Salvage title in the text.

I saw that too.

Also beware of folks that say "interior in excellent condition" and then show you a pic of the back seat which is perfect on 99% of even beater rigs.
Oh note too in the dash pic the end of a sheepskin seat cover on the drivers seat. :(
Buyer beware on this one. Sounds to me like a typical used car dealer ad. Wonder what the "reserve" is?

If he spent 5k on an engine rebuild... Then the reserve is not going to be anywhere the starting bid.

Regardless of all it says, I'd bid on it if I could. Always wanted something like a Super or Custom...
Always get to look and drool, that's about it.

I asked him why the salvage title and to send more pictures. Here is his reply:
there's no rust on it anywhere, but on a quarter size spot on rear quarter panel behind the tire,as for it driving it drives true and straight, the salvage title is because it was invalved in a minor fender bender only the rear bumper was bent in a little,I just bent it back ,but we filed a claim with the insurance Co. instead of paying for repairs they totaled it because of its age and I kept the jeep, its fine, theres no damage to frame or anything, and its got drum brakes.all new . Sorry no other photos.
If he wants to sell it for any decent amount he needs to give more photos of all sides.

I got the exact same reply from the guy...
If there is a quarter size rust "spot" behind the tire there is more that he can't see.
No offense, but if all the was damaged was the bumper why would you submit a claim? "Instead of paying for the repairs they totaled it"???
I've been looking for a 1970 wag for quite some time, and this one looked like a good candidate.
If he expects any real bids he needs to provide some detailed info/pics.
Going to steer clear of this one

I am with you on that. If you want top $$$ for a top $$$ truck, you need to show it better. Too many people on Ebay will rip you off and then get mad when you show up and find something major wrong. He may not be one of those guys but you gotta show the goods if you wanna get the cash.

Yeah I saw that one, but not quite what I'm looking for.
Too much rust, etc.
Plus the distance is a deal killer.
Just trying to find a nice '70 in CA/NV/AZ.

Didn't go very high on the Bay, like $1500. He told me he didn't have any more pictures but the craigslist shows two other shots. So he is a liar.
