I got mine from:
Downtown Tire and Automotive
Albuquerque, NM
87102
(505) 764 8698

I happened to be in NM for a unscheduled visit last year. Tom Chavez is a great guy. I bought Dunlop Mud Rovers 285x75x 16 for $70 cheaper per tire  than back here in KY.

how well do these tires do on ice. would they be as good as the bfg a/t for a daily driver/mild wheeler? i was looking at some for the zj and they are pretty cheap.

these were the best tires i used in a long time.

Im in sacramento Ca the tires are at Sams club meaning any sams in the country can order them. For the 33's i bought last year they were 113.00 per tire. If i didnt have the small business account i think they would have been 130-. They just happened to be on sale at 7 in the morning when i was getting stuff for work.

Sams' Club usually stocks those. Mine here in Casper does anyway. Decent tire. Good offorad tire but on asphalt they are fairly loud and the tread does a disappearing act.

On straight ice they are not very good. Stick with the BFG AT for that. I swapped out my set of BFG AT's for the Mud Rover because I was tired of the AT's clogging in the snow and not going anywhere without 4 wheel drive offroad. It's amazing how little I engage the front hubs now. It's equally amazing how well it now climbs the front hill at the house in 4 wheel drive.

They are a little noisy but not intrusive , even at highway speeds. So far mine don't show much wear and have about 7000 miles on the highway on them.

I also live in sacramento ca. but i for one hated my dunlop mud rovers. I had a set of dunlop mud rovers on one daily driver for a total of 25k and where all but worn out, that was aligned and rotated properly also. I also had a set of bfg mud terrains before those and thought since the dunlops where cheaper i would give them a try. The bfg mud terrains i never aligned and rotated 2 times and got 50k on. Those are the only new tires i will buy again if i plan on driveing it on road as well as trail. Even if they cost a bit more.

I used the mud rovers only on the ranch so i don't know how they would wear on the road. As far as snow it always seemed to go good but again not much driving on ice at the ranch.

Ya they are good off road wise but so where the bfg, i never got stuck with either. It just seems to me the dunlop has a really soft compound and on road honestly they were no better than the bfg in that respect either. I remember being in a panic turn / brake when they were changeing madison avenue onramp quite some time ago with my bfg and they stuck like glue even with a lifted truck running on 35s. I never thought i was gonna make it out alive through it honestly. I was very tired driving at night and didn't know they changed the on ramp altogether because i hadn't used it in probably a year. After that i didn't feel as tired anymore. It was like i just drank a pot of coffee in like 10 seconds flat.

i'm sure you get what you pay for, holds true on every thing else. I was having a heck of a time finding them in my town, found they could be ordered at sears but with all the darn extras it was about 640 bucks for all for with free shipping and 3 dollar valve stems, 14 dollar balance..arrh.. all the hidden extras. and our sams stopped carrying the dunlops.
