The bezels I have now look like this... Which says it's for a
"1953-71 CJ3B, CJ5, CJ6 Headlight Bezel; chrome"

It has a tab at the top and a hole for a screw at the bottom. Problem is these are pretty hard to find (at least I havn't) used.

Would the 1972-86 CJ bezels fit? Anyone know

The CJ rings will fit the FS buckets correctly, one tab up top and one screw on the bottom. There is one differance though. IIRC it was the slots for the adjusters? It's been a while since I played with them.

I did a side by side comparison with a CJ ring and a Gladiator ring; swapped one from my '76 CJ-5 to my Gladiator and vice versa, and they are not identical, but they ARE interchangable.
Only the most astute Jeep person would be able to look at some and notice the minor differences.

I have one of each on my rig. I just put the other one on last night
I found the CJ5 ring in the woods. My brother had the older one.
They both fit the same. You may be able to see the difference in the last pic of the "New Grille" section. You can see pic here: http://joesrealms.org/cherokee.shtml#NewGrille
