That's going to look great once your done!

I'm planning to do the same to my '68. Eventually. Any problems so far?

thanks!!!! its going pretty well so far, i am not the most mechanically inclined person in the world, but with basic tools, a softball bat, one roommate to help me, and about 3 hours, i got the front done pretty easy. lol.
My only real issue was that my shackles were pretty froze up so i had to loosen them, and hit them with a hammer a bit to get them to line up with the new springs. besides that it was a little bit of a pain to get the springs to line up with perch on top of the axle. However, i bought the u-bolt flip kit from hell creek and once i started tightening them, they popped into place as long as the little knob at the bottom of the springs were close to the hole it goes in. i will post how the rear goes later and let people know of any issues.

It looks pretty level to me in the first pic with the driveway slope; just try to drive downhill and you'll be fine.:) It looks really nice; I may be going that route in my J4000 as my front springs are flattening a bit.

That thing is going to look sweet when you're finished with it. What tires and wheels are you going with?

unfortunately, i bought the tires only about 1500 miles ago, not knowing i was going to raise it, because at the time, nothing was available. Eventually, I plan on getting 33's though, but then i will probably have to upgrade my cruddy brakes. haha
I'm stuck on the rear right now, i cant get the spring off the post, I tried using a torch, but nothing so far

Gettin there. Before you tackle the back, give each of the nuts/bolts a good shotof PB Blaster twice a day for a week, that will loosen things up.

I just put on a bjs 6in lift with 1in shackles on the front about 3 weeks ago. I was lucky enough to have a friend who works at a shop, so we had a lift to work under. If you have any questions please send me an email.
