What's the easiest way to remove my dashpad without removing the windshield. I have an '83 Wagoneer. Thanks in advance!

uuummmm, bad news. dash pad ain't coming out without the windshield gasket/rubber coming out. windshield gasket/rubber won't come out without the glass coming out. the reason is that the vinyl covering the pad runs underneath the gasket and abit up the lip of the body seal where the gasket covers it. You *can* get it out by sticking a razor blade under the gasket from inside the car and cutting the vinyl under the gasket and the dash will come out (don't forget to cut around the 6 screws that are also under the gasket that go thru the vinyl and attach the dash to the body). But if you want to get the pad reinstalled then you need to get the gasket out so you can get some vinyl under the gasket to secure the front part of the pad when you put it back together.
