View Full Version : Any tips on the operation of a ridge reamer?

I will probably rent one this afternoon and cut the ridge on my 360. I've never used one but the concept sounds pretty simple...but thought I should ask anyway.

make sure the tool on the end (what cuts the ridge) is flush with the top of the cyilinder and do be afade of cuting tightn it up good and go at it you'll know when its cutting

Hi 243 and Tim...GEMOBX has a point...OIL...SLOW...rented cutters can be scared,out of adjustment,poorly sharpened, etc...Buy one and use it and sell it on ebay if you dont want it any more (or sell it cheap to me, I need one too)...Regards

if u take your time it takes for ever and i ment don't be afrad of cutting but don't get carried away what ever u do cuz u will get ride of the ridge and make a crater i find that pb blaster works good for oil or get cutting oil
