Since my windshield seal is leaking at the lower left corner do I need to replace the seal when I take out the glass? If so then I can cut the seal to make removal easier.

depends on the condition of the rubber, they are pretty easy to save and reuse. but, the seal is not the only thing that keeps the water out. use some window glaze/sealer between the seal and the body. it goes in like caulking - stick the nozzle under the lip of the seal and squeeze a small bead all the way around the seal. the fellas that did my seal only did the bottom half and now I get drips from the top -- even tho the seal is brand spankin new.

The plastic tool that GEMOBX/77/401 refers to really makes putting the seal back together easier, it looks abit like a popsicle stick that is fatter in the middle.

while a new seal is usually better than an old one I would try to save the seal by not cutting it out, if you unlock the seal and then get back in the cab and push the glass (gently, listening for bad sounds of cracking glass) from the bottom corners you should be able to get an edge of the glass out and then pull the glass out from the outside without damaging your seal. if you end up cutting it out/damaging it then you can always get a new one.
