Best t-case sealant? RTV, cork, paper??

I have my t-case back together and was wondering what is the best sealant for the actual cases?

Red RTV was between it before..

Recommendations?

I used plain black RTV; that's what was in it before, and it doesn't leak. I just used the smallest of beads, so it didn't end up in the transfer case like my original RTV did.

I ended up using a paper gasket i made with a coating of permatex on both sides. My dad has restored a couple tractors and he swares by it. So i'll give it a shot.. thanks for the info guys.
