Basic swapping stuff...

Ok....i have a 75 Wag with a 401/ 3 speed auto/ quadra-trac....and im thinking id rather swap it out for somthin like a 350/th350 or 700R4/ and an np205....and if im going that far i might as well look at swappin some rocks in underneath too...id like this to b a daily driver...and i just dont trust the 401...nor do i really like the quadratac...ne thoughts...suggestions...or comments are welcome...

What part of cali you in? I might be interested in the 401 if you scrap it....
I'm an AMC fan, so I dont have any advise there. I had a '79 Chevy with a service bed that has a 350/TH350/ NP205 and the Dam thing split the bell housing from ear to ear and now the t-case and axles are going under a Jeep.
Guess Chevys just arnt my flavor.........

I live about 60 miles north of bakersfield...im currently outside of seattle but i should be back home before too long...the main reason im looking towards going to a chevy motor, tranny, and t-case is because there are parts for them everywhere...you can go to just about anywhere and pick up replacment parts.
