Ordered some 35s and 15x10 steelies from summit.....
And from BJs:
new timing cover and midplate
1 inch body lift
and HEI distributor....

Have a rebult 360 and 727 going in, then a 1600 mile drive in less than a week after that.:drivin::drivin:
It's going to be a hectic 2 weeks.....

Take your time with the timing cover and try not to snap any of those little bolts off, it's not hard to do so be careful. Get a helper for the body lift install and if the body bolts just spin when you try to remove them, it means the square nuts installed by Jeep have broke loose and the only way to get to them is to cut a hole in the floor pan above them. Good Luck.

I'm in that $$ ballpark with you. Since May, new engine, rebuilt transmission, rocksliders, 4 inch lift, new wheels, 32 inch tires (used but less than 500 miles), new radiator, aluminum reservoirs (coolant, windshield), brake lines, e-brake lines. My head hurts thinking about how much I spent.:o

I wichas all. 'Ere's my list so far:

- Remanuf 0.030-over engine (AMC 360)
- Edlebrock mild cam, 600CFM 50-state carb, intake, and cast aluminum valve covers
- custom HEI distributor & 8mm silicon spark plug wires
- rebuilt 727 tranny w/ shift kit & stronger valves/springs, etc.
- New aluminum 2-row radiator w/ integral tranny cooler
- new power steering pump
- 180A alternator
- new SS battery pan (GEMOBX')
- Rancho X9000 shocks all around w/ remote adjustment; Rancho strg stabilizer too.
- Victory NASCRAP Hauler alloy rims for the Hakka 10LT snow tires w/ the NASCRAP sticker removed (hell, they were already peeling off when I picked them up...the mechanic who did the engine loves them on his wrench chest)
- refinished original rims w/ new BFG A/T K/Os for summer fun
- new 'coffin' (gas tank skid plate) and cleaned out gas tank
- new tail gate glass channels & wiring.[/FONT]
- 2" lift on order to fix the WagSag and clearance to the 31"

...and probably a bit more I'm forgetting. Will do the headliner (this sooner than later, maybe in wood), and body sometime in the future...

Coondawg, I'm impressed you're shooting to get this done in under 2 weeks. Mine's been about 3 months of time gathering parts and actually doin' it.

Coondawg,
I'm sure you've heard...Just Empty Every Pocket.....your on your way. Body lift isn't bad, just do one side at a time. Use plenty of PB Blaster and make usre you re-torque your bolts after a few miles.

For God sakes make sure your seals are good before THINKING about synthetics! I immediately switched over to amsoil when I bought this Cherokee (we're engaged...) and she is spittin all over. Specially the rear main seal. (The worst of it happens if I've been driving for extended periods).

For Dog's sakes, NinjaHound, when you start w/ new seals, engine, etc, they'd better be good. If they'd been soaking in dino sauce for 1000s of miles, they'll shrink up and leak like a sieve! BT,DT...

For Dog's sakes #2, NinjaHound, with your namesake, I'd've thought you'd've snuck up and sniffed that one out with no one knowing! :D

My FSJ can't be called ninja, no how...1500+ miles so far on AmSOiL 10W-40 and, unlike a ninja, you can hear it coming a mile a way and it's never left a mark, never marks its property. Never even seen so much as a tear, much less a weep...it's kinda bad @$$ like that....

As far as Just Empty Every Pocket, one needs to add a "And Don't Expect It Back" follow-on...

AMC = All Money Consumed?

A buddy already wants first dibs on mine if I sell it. I told him I need to work some of the joy out of it before I can sell it for what it's worth.
