should i just fix the knock or should i rebuild the motor. it has at least 160,000 miles on it. do not know if it has been rebuilt already. cheeper to just fix whats wrong. :confused:

I would rebuild it. With 160K and a knock, it's pretty much due to get freshened up. That is if the knock is internal. 360 blocks are pretty tolerable to boring, so even if it has been rebuilt before, the block can stand .060 over, the only trouble may be finding the pistons for it.

thanks for the info i think i will rebuild it. that is what i was planing on doing, but someone told me to just put new rod bearings. it more expencive but i think it will be better that way. i will not be able to drive it for long time. that sucks. i just got it, i havn't even broke it in yet. need one front hub before i can do that. tongue.gif
