Ok, as you can tell by my other post I am ready to spend some money on my jeep. I own a 90 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and I want to put new seat covers on. These would replace the factory ones. Any ideas on where I can buy these.

Thanks > John

Go to an automobile upholstery shop and they can custom fit them....just like new.

I have priced getting a small tear (about 2" long" fixed in mine; the local upholstery shop wanted $400-450 to replace a part of the drivers seat bottom. I can only imagine waht they would want to restore the entire seat with new leather!

I would like to find a local shop here in Atlanta, have them create seat covers that match oem specs & looks, have them retain the template, then work out a deal where they can create a bunch of sets for all of our rigs at a discounted price. I will do a little leg work on this over the next few weeks, and post back.

I have had two seats repaired one with a slit in the side of the bottom seat (cut out and sewed in new material and matched the color) ($50) and one with the entire back and bottom with new material and levis buttons sewn just like the original for $100.

Generally upholstery shops are very high, but you have to shop around. I haven't seen any after market seat covers that are "cheap" either.

If the material is not torn you can make them look new by painting them with vinyl paint. Works great.

Chandler/John

Sign me up for some burgundy/maroon/cordovan/whatvere color that red is. If you can find a shop that would want to do a couple sets, it would be worth the drive to Atlanta for me to get them if the price was right.

I had Henderson Upholstery in Buford, GA do the seats in my '87 GW with Marine Vinyl about 2 years ago. he did an excellent job but, it did cost me $1000. With that and a carpet kit, the interior almost looks new.

Those of us with 2dr Cherokee's have a nice option with Scat Procar seats, newly available from Summit.

Scat's been making seats for a long time, and has been a well known supplier for aftermarket seats for VW's almost since they've been in business.

Prices are reasonable, but color selection is a little lacking, gray and black, in vinyl and velour.

The seats are reclineing, and flip forward, as well.

Alright guys....I think I may have found a shop to do what we need for seat covers....I'll post in the general discussion section, under: WHO WANTS SEAT COVERS & HEADLINERS?

I have a set of re-upholstered front seats and center console. These were recovered in a sand color with cloth in the center. They work great and match the rest of the interior very well less the fact that they are vinyl and not leather. If anyone is interested let me know
