First, this IS a posting about FSJ!
After www.amcforums.com (http://www.amcforums.com) died, (and at does not look as if it is coming back) I stumbled onto www.amcforum.net (http://www.amcforum.net).
AMCForums.com has(had) a lot of great info about the heart of Full Sized Jeeps: the AMC engine and drivetrain.
AMCForum.net does as well.
NOW, AMCForum.net has moved to a new web server and uses the URL, www.amccars.net (http://www.amccars.net)
Same place, new name.
Lots of great info and a valuable resource for us Jeep enthusiasts.
Do not let the go-fast-car talk keep you away...lots of AMC engine and other discussions that are useful for us.
Here is the link their forum:

It didn't actually die. Fran moved it to a bigger better server and couldn't bring the url with it. The site is more for AMC cars but we do touch on Jeeps a bit. A lot of the guys here are members there. I see them all the time on it.

SWEET, that's where the forum went to!
I always use that site for digging up info on engines. Or bouncing off some odd ideas with people that KNOW about AMC engines!

 Who has time!
BTW Hammer that block I bought from you years ago is in a 640hp stroked 401 now. Its sitting in a javelin street car. I have yet to drive it but it sounds like fun! That block went .085 over bore.

I hear you!
I took down the forums on my own site, no time to spend on them.
Too busy working on the www.m715zone.com to do any other websites.
Good to hear that block worked out for you.
And WOW, .085" over huh? How much filler you put in that block?

No fill! Some blocks can handle that bore. I have also found that 1976 and earlier 360 blocks can be bored out to 4.165 (401 bore). Interesting isnt it.

It didn't actually die.
Sorry for introducing a wee bit of confusion.
www.amcforums.com (http://www.amcforums.com) is the forum that is offline and presummed dead.
www.amcforums.net (http://www.amcforums.net) is alive and well and it is the forum that has moved to a bigger better web server with the url of www.amccars.net (http://www.amccars.net)
Fran moved it to a bigger better server and couldn't bring the url with it. The site is more for AMC cars but we do touch on Jeeps a bit. A lot of the guys here are members there. I see them all the time on it.
Correct, Fran is a super fellow.

That is correct.
I read on your site, www.bulltear.com (http://www.bulltear.com), that the former moderators of www.amcforums.com (http://www.amcforums.com/) created a new forum, www.theamcforum.com (http://www.theamcforum.com)
So, I went over and registered there as well.
Newbie like myself needs ALL the resources that I can find!
