I have read the threads on choke adjustment now that he cold weather is here but the directions that were given doesn't seem to apply to the electronic choke or so it seems. Even my Hayes manual is fuzzy. I'm new to carb adjustments and any help with my 2150 on an 89 GW would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The electric choke is normaly set at 90 degree, where the long marking on the center is line up with the base marking. Turning Counterclockwise = Rich, Clockwise = Lean. It works the same way as the manual choke, but the electric chocke open and close automatically by the heat. There are some steps and procedures involving when you adjust the choke and I don't think I can explain here more than what you have already read on the Haynes manual. On the other hand, you 're new to this thing, so I would recommend to have the truck tune up by a qualified Tech and tell him that the carb need to be Adjusted, then you can start learning from there on. Good luck.

What symptoms does your GW have?? Depending on what is going on it could be as simple as one small adjustment up to a rebuild (the 2150 is a pretty easy rebuild - even for the novice who takes their time).
